Ground Beef and Potatoes Skillet

This Ground Beef and Potato Skillet is an easy and delicious one-pan dinner made with seasoned beef, tender potatoes, and colorful peppers. Perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 3 Potatoes diced into small cubes
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloves chopped
  • 1 Bell Pepper diced
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Adobo Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2 cups Beef Broth

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and bell pepper and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until translucent and softened.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  • Add salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture. Stir well to combine and evenly distribute the seasonings.
  • Incorporate the diced potatoes into the skillet. Stir to coat them with the beef and seasonings.
  • Pour in enough beef broth to just cover the potatoes and beef. Stir gently and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce heat to low. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
  • Check for seasoning. Add more salt or pepper if needed.
  • Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving for a fresh, flavorful finish.

Cut the potatoes into evenly sized cubes to ensure they cook at the same rate. If you're short on time, parboil the potatoes for 5 minutes before adding them to the skillet this will speed things up.
