This easy Cabbage and Ground Beef skillet recipe is a flavorful meal made with just a few simple ingredients. It's a quick stovetop dinner that’s budget-friendly, low-carb, and packed with comforting flavor.
In a large skillet, heat 1–2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
Add diced onion to the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion is soft and translucent.
Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
Add ground beef to the pan. Use a wooden spoon to break it apart as it cooks. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until browned and fully cooked through. Drain any excess fat if needed.
Sprinkle in crushed bouillon cube, cumin, smoked paprika, black pepper, and diced tomatoes. Stir well to evenly coat the meat with the spices.
Toss in the shredded cabbage and pour in the beef broth. Stir everything together so the cabbage is well-mixed with the beef.
Cover the skillet and let the mixture simmer on medium-low heat for 8 to 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. The cabbage should soften and slightly caramelize.
Once the cabbage is tender, stir in the soy sauce and apple cider vinegar (if using). Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your savory, one-pan meal.

Recipe Tips
For extra flavor, brown the beef first and let it develop a nice crust before adding the cabbage. You can also add a splash of Liquid Smoke or Worcestershire sauce for a richer depth of flavor.
