These Banana Bread Brownies combine moist banana bread with richchocolate brownies for an incredibly soft, fudgy dessert finished with a buttery glaze that's impossible to resist.
Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.
Mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract Mix well. Whisk in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.

Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the banana mixture. Add the milk and mix until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly. Drizzle the melted butter over the top. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

In a small saucepan, melt butter for frosting over medium heat until light golden brown.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Whisk in powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
Spread frosting over cooled brownies and cut into squares.

Use very ripe bananas with plenty of brown spots. The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your brownies will be. Also, avoid overmixing the batter to keep the brownies soft and tender.
